The Master’s in Wealth and Financial Management provides specialised advanced training in the areas of private banking, wealth management and corporate finance. The knowledge imparted enables graduates to carry out operations in financial markets aimed at the management, advisory and planning of investments and assets in credit institutions and Private or Personal Banking entities.

It also qualifies graduates to take on roles related to Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, as well as Private Equity or Venture Capital activities.

It is accredited by the CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) and is part of the CFA® Institute’s University Affiliation Program, which indicates that it incorporates at least 70% of the CFA® Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) for the CFA certification. The CFA Institute® recognizes that we incorporate at least 70% of the CFA® Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) from its CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification, the most valued global endorsement in the field of finance. It is also worth pointing out to potential students and employers that the master’s degree is in line with this certification, with more than 170,000 CFA® Charterholders (less than 900 in Spain) in more than 150 countries. The Master’s Degree in Wealth and Financial Management has added the LSEG Workspace platform (formerly Thomson Reuters Eikon) to its educational offering. Every student is given an annual license that provides access to real-time information about financial markets: financial statements, stock quotes, fixed income securities, foreign exchange markets, derivatives, investment funds, ETFs, commodities, and more.

The platform also includes DataStream for compiling and analysing macroeconomic and international trade data. In total, it offers access to 40,000 financial and stock markets and institutions in 190 countries. Refinitiv Workspace allows students in the Master’s Degree in Wealth and Financial Management to prepare for the labour market with a tool that features the world’s main financial organizations.

The curriculum of the Master’s Degree in Wealth and Financial Management has been defined considering the needs of the profession and features the appropriate combination of theoretical and practical knowledge. It covers the two main professional specializations in the field of finance: wealth advising and corporate finance, with a clear professional orientation and an international perspective.

Models and Financial Products (mandatory)
Main theoretical models through their practical application of the different investment and financial products, both fixed income, equities, and derivative instruments or hybrid products.

Legal framework and methodology (mandatory)
Through knowledge of financial markets, macroeconomic variables, and monetary policies, students learn how to take them into account for company investment and financing decisions.

Analysis, Valuation, and Management of Financial Products (elective)
Students work on advanced valuation methods for financial products and different portfolio management and financial planning models.

Corporate Finance (elective)
Students study company valuation and business risk management methods and analyse corporate merger and acquisition transactions as well as Private Equity and Venture Capital activities.

Apply for admission

Once you have completed your registration, the system will assign you a user number then you must create a password. You can check the status of your application at any time with this login information.

If you are an IQS student, you must pre-register directly from your SIGMA profile. Enter your username and password and go to official studies/pre-registration.

Documentation to upload

  • The university degree, if you have completed your studies. If you have studied outside the EU, you will need to apostille or legalise your degree certificate and academic transcript for the enrolment phase. Check here whether your country allows the Hague Apostille.
  • Your most up-to-date academic transcripts, with your grade point average on a scale of 0-10.
  • 1 passport-style photograph in colour with a white background in jpg format (176×220 pixels).
  • Photocopy of valid ID card on both sides or passport bio-data page.
  • Document certifying your English level as required in your programme of choice.
  • If you completed undergraduate studies outside the European Union that grant you access to graduate-level studies, you must provide a certificate issued by your home university confirming that the degree you earned enables you to access master’s degree studies in the country where your undergraduate degree was earned. Payment:

  • Payment of €100 by credit or debit card to open and process your application.
  • It is only refunded in the event of non-admission.
  • If you make the payment from outside of Spain, you must do so through Flywire: www.flywire.com/pay/iqsland

The master’s degree coordinator will contact you for an interview. Subsequently, IQS will notify you by email on the decision regarding your admission.

Once admitted, you have a period of two weeks to make your pre-enrolment payment. You must pay a pre-enrolment tuition fee of €1,000. The pre-enrolment payment is non-refundable and does not entail an additional cost as it will be deducted from the total tuition fees once your enrolment is finalized.

If you are a non-EU student, you will receive your visa letter once IQS has received your pre-enrolment payment.

Once the enrolment period has opened, and if you have completed the previous stages, you will receive an email from the IQS Registrar’s Office with the credentials and instructions you need to proceed with your enrolment.

Using your credentials, start your session on the SIGMA academic management application and formalize your enrolment by indicating the payment method.

To access the Master’s Degree in Wealth and Financial Management, complementary training courses are established based on the student’s academic background:

  1. In general, the following Bachelor’s Degree Program will not require complementary training: Business Administration and Management; Economics and International Business; Commercial and Financial Management; Finance, Accounting & Auditing
  2. The Admissions Committee will identify the students who must take complementary training courses, one or two of the following proposed subjects: Accounting for Decision Making (3 ECTS); Financial Management (3 ECTS). Students from degrees other than the areas of knowledge indicated will not have to take the training complement of the subject Accounting for decision-making in the event that they have already taken subjects that contain subjects related to accounting or analysis of financial statements.

The Admission Committee will evaluate each case individually to define the necessary training complements.
