HRS4R Accreditation
Human Resources Strategy for Researchers
IQS fully adheres to the statement of commitment to the principles of the “Charter for European Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers” promoted by the European Commission. The evaluators welcomed the thoroughness with which IQS has aligned its human resources practices with the principles of the Charter and the Code. Following the comprehensive analysis of the submitted action plan, IQS meets all the requirements for the use of the “HR Excellence in Research” label.
The European Commission has launched the HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers), a tool to support universities, research institutions and research funding organisations in the implementation of the “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”. It aims to contribute to the development of an attractive European labour market for researchers.
The Charter and the Code of Conduct are recommendations from the Commission to the Member States and are voluntary:
- European Charter for Researchers: the “European Charter for Researchers” is a set of general principles and requirements defining the roles, responsibilities and rights of researchers, employers and funders.
- Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers: the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”, which does not differ much from the standard rules governing recruitment, stresses the importance of open and transparent recruitment procedures and diverse and experienced selection committees.
