In this advanced academic programme, we provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, strategies, and practical applications of the circular economy and corporate sustainability within a variety of industries and sectors from both a technical and a business perspective.
The programme encompasses a multidisciplinary approach, merging concepts from environmental science, business management, economics, engineering, and sustainability studies. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the complex challenges posed by linear economic models and develop innovative circular solutions for a more sustainable future.
Throughout the programme, students can engage in research projects or collaborative initiatives with industry partners to gain hands-on experience and develop the critical thinking skills needed to address complex sustainability issues.

This programme is open to students who have a bachelor’s degree in the areas of:
Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Studies, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science, Business Management, Economics, and International Business.
Admission is open to students who hold other degrees such as Physics, Computer and Data Science, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Tourism, and other Science and Social Sciences fields. Students from certain backgrounds may need to take introductory courses offered by IQS before the official start of the Master’s Degree.
A solid level of spoken and written English (English level B2 or IELTS/TOEFL equivalent) is required. No previous professional experience is required.
The Admissions Committee will review each application and, where appropriate, the content of the complementary courses to be taken, depending on the admissions qualification.

Once you have completed your registration, the system will assign you a user number then you must create a password. You can check the status of your application at any time with this login information.
If you are an IQS student, you must pre-register directly from your SIGMA profile. Enter your username and password and go to official studies/pre-registration.
The master’s degree coordinator will contact you for an interview. Subsequently, IQS will notify you by email on the decision regarding your admission.
Once admitted, you have a period of two weeks to make your pre-enrolment payment. You must pay a pre-enrolment tuition fee of €1,000. The pre-enrolment payment is non-refundable and does not entail an additional cost as it will be deducted from the total tuition fees once your enrolment is finalized.

If you are a non-EU student, you will receive your visa letter once IQS has received your pre-enrolment payment.
Once the enrolment period has opened, and if you have completed the previous stages, you will receive an email from the IQS Registrar’s Office with the credentials and instructions you need to proceed with your enrolment.
Using your credentials, start your session on the SIGMA academic management application and formalize your enrolment by indicating the payment method.
IQS offers scholarships and financial aid to students who wish to study a master’s degree at IQS and who have completed their undergraduate studies at another university. We also provide scholarships for academic excellence, financial need, and international students.
Academic Excellence
For students who are beginning their master’s studies, this scholarship covers up to 40% of tuition for the best undergraduate academic transcripts depending on the applicant’s financial situation.
Financial need
For students with financial need. These scholarships are based primarily on your family’s income level and satisfactory academic performance. Scholarships for up to 40% of tuition fees are awarded.
International Students
For students who can prove they reside outside of Spain, have financial need, a solid academic record, and have been admitted to an IQS master’s degree.
Upon completion, graduates of the Master’s Degree in Circular Economy are prepared to pursue careers in a variety of sectors, such as business, consulting, government, and non-profit organizations, where they can drive sustainable innovation and contribute to the transition towards a more circular and regenerative economy.
