Safe Environment
What is the goal of the Safe Environment System?
The Safe Environment System was created through a specific request by Pope Francis to enhance the culture of Good Treatment and respect between people, guaranteeing the creation of a safe environment and wellbeing for all people and ensuring the protection of everyone, especially people susceptible to being in a situation of vulnerability in the institutions linked to the Society of Jesus of Spain.
The system is based on the following pillars:
- Creating welcoming, respectful, and safe environments.
- Promoting good treatment among the people nearest to us.
- Promoting a culture of protection and care for and protecting any child and vulnerable adult.
- Reporting any inappropriate practices or abusive behaviour.
Building Safe Environments
The activities carried out are aimed at:
- Promoting wellbeing for people.
- Promoting a culture of Good Treatment: cordiality, respect, good manners, doing things right, etc.
- Ensuring respect for and the rights of every person.
- Assisting and collaborating in personal growth.
