The Red Cross is joining the IQS service-learning programme with two meaningful experiences, featuring the aim of strengthening the bonds between the university and social entities and responding to various requirements that the humanitarian organization itself shared with IQS.
The Red Cross joins the IQS service-learning programme with two new proposals for experiences in the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management

This leading international entity grounds its actions along seven fundamental principles that guide its work around the world and guarantee assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters, or emergencies. These principles are:
- Humanity, which prioritizes action to alleviate human suffering, protect health and life, and respect the dignity of all people without distinction.
- Impartiality, which guarantees aid according to the degree of need and without discrimination on the basis of nationality, race, religion, class, or political opinion, giving priority to the most urgent cases.
- Neutrality, under which the movement may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious, or ideological nature.
- Independence, which allows the organization to maintain its autonomy despite acting as an auxiliary to governments within the laws of their respective countries.
- Voluntary Service, based on motivation and an altruistic commitment to help others as an example of solidarity and inspiration in humanitarian action.
- Unity, which establishes that there can only be one Red Cross or Red Crescent Society in any one country, it must be open to all, and must be present throughout its territory.
- Universality, a principle that reflects the global presence of the movement and the cooperation between all its National Societies.
Within the framework of this academic year, the two experiences will unfold within the subjects Sustainable Marketing (fourth year) and Sales Management (third year) in the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. All students enrolled in these subjects will participate and work on a real challenge proposed by the Red Cross. Members of the organization visited the IQS campus to present the needs and objectives of the project in first person, establishing the basis for joint work between students and the entity.
Through these initiatives, IQS and the Red Cross are implementing a learning model based on collaboration, social responsibility, and educational innovation, offering students the opportunity to apply their knowledge while serving their community.
IQS is underscoring its commitment to continue expanding this relationship with new proposals that are already being developed jointly with other professors at the institution.
This project forms part of the IQS service-learning programme, an initiative that promotes innovative educational methodologies to promote learning through values, putting the academic excellence of our students at the service of society.
