IQS will inaugurate the Gaudí Year with a visit from Msgr. Armand Puig i Tàrrech, leading biographer of the modernist genius

With this initiative, IQS reaffirms its desire to promote cultural and academic debate around one of the most universal figures of Catalan architecture. The session will offer first-hand insight into Puig’s research, which provides a renewed and rigorous perspective on the architect. Registration is open to everyone through this link.
Msgr. Armand Puig, a priest, theologian, biblical scholar, and essayist, has served as dean and rector of the Ateneu Universitari Sant Pacià in Barcelona and is currently president of the Holy See’s Agency for the Evaluation and Promotion of the Quality of Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties (AVEPRO), based in Rome.
Puig’s biography of the modernist genius stands out for its historical rigor and for its effort to dismantle myths and unfounded esoteric interpretations about Gaudí. The author presents the architect as a “total artist,” integrating architecture, symbolism, and Christian spirituality, and highlighting his commitment to sustainability, innovation, and creative management.
