The prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) magazine has recognized IQS as the best private university in Spain in the area of Chemical Engineering, highlighting its excellence in both bachelor’s and master’s degree education in this discipline.

The THE WUR by Subject 2025 ranking, which ranks the best universities in the world by areas of knowledge, evaluates institutions in five branches of engineering: General Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. In this year’s edition, 1,488 universities from 97 countries and territories have been analysed based on 18 rigorous performance indicators.
In addition, Ramon Llull University has managed to position itself among the best universities in the world in various areas of study, such as Business and Economics, Psychology, Education Studies, Social Sciences, Medical and Health, and Engineering.
The THE WUR by Subject 2025 bases its methodology on the 18 evaluation indicators used in the general classification of THE WUR 2025, which analyse the performance of universities in five key dimensions: teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and knowledge transfer. It is important to note that the weight of each indicator varies according to the area of study evaluated.
Universities that participate in the WORLD University Rankings and meet the established requirements also have the possibility of appearing in the THE WORLD University Rankings by Subject, thus consolidating their prestige at a global level.
