Events Institutional 10 February 2026

IQS has held a new edition of Talent Week, bringing together students, teaching staff and professionals from national and international companies for a week dedicated to employability, skills development and direct engagement with the business sector. The week concluded with the 21st Employment Forum, held on Friday, 6 February.

Both schools shared the same training framework, which included sessions on entrepreneurship with Jordi Arbusà; personal branding with Esther Comín; professional strategy on LinkedIn with Naiara Pereyra; skills development with Lluís Marcó (Steelter); labour market analysis and technology applied to job searching with Javier Asenjo; as well as a reflective session on professional decision‑making led by Xavier Casanovas. Alumni member Max Amat also took part, sharing his experience transitioning into the professional world.

The programme culminated, in both schools, with a round table dedicated to young talent and its role in today’s labour market.

Training sessions with company presentations

From Monday to Thursday morning, the School of Engineering ran an intensive agenda combining training sessions with company presentations. Participants included Lin, Technip Energies, Werfen, Bionet, DSM‑Firmenich, Lechler, AkzoNobel (with its GET programme), Eurofragance, Smith & Nephew, Inibsa, Werfen, NT Process, Talman Group and EIC, who presented projects, talent needs and professional opportunities for engineering students.

A session on job‑search trends was delivered by Allergy Therapeutics, along with a practical training session on artificial intelligence applied to recruitment processes organised by Barcelona Activa, and a lecture on sustainability applied to process chemistry given by Dr Joachim Krüger. The organisation Synapse – Life Science Connect, represented by Cristina Molina Gutiérrez, presented current trends and opportunities in the life sciences sector.

The week concluded with the round table “From the Classroom to the Real World: First Steps in the Labour Market”, featuring AkzoNobel, Bionet, DSM‑Firmenich and Smith & Nephew.

Corporate and management environment

From Tuesday to Thursday afternoon, the School of Management offered a programme specifically designed for the corporate and management environment. The sessions began with an analysis of labour‑market needs and expectations regarding emerging talent, led by Candee. Students also attended corporate presentations by PwC, as well as a round table with Winche, Candee and Accor, focusing on their talent programmes, recruitment processes and professional opportunities within the business and services sector.

The final round table explored the role of young talent within organisations and the challenges surrounding their integration into a constantly evolving business environment.
