IQS kicked off the Open House Sessions for undergraduate programmes on 23 November and opened up pre-registration for undergraduate programmes starting in academic year 2022-23 on the same day. Some of the new developments that stand out most for the upcoming academic year include the new Undergraduate Programme in Biomedical Sciences taught at the IQS School of Engineering and the Undergraduate Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management offered at the IQS School of Management, featuring the possibility of doing a dual degree along with the Undergraduate Programme in Marketing.
During the week of 22 November, open house sessions were held for all undergraduate programmes taught at the IQS School of Engineering and the IQS School of Management. The aim of the sessions is to introduce prospective students and their family members to the educational offerings at IQS, highlighting the curricula of the different bachelor’s degrees, professional opportunities, international exchange possibilities, dual degree options, and more in addition to other aspects of interest related to the IQS experience. The sessions emphasize the IQS teaching methodology with its fundamental feature of hands-on learning and personalized attention for students.
The informational sessions are designed to be a university orientation tool for prospective students and are led by IQS faculty members and the admissions team. The sessions also detail the real experiences of current students who actively participate by sharing their opinions and their day-to-day realities in the classrooms.
The next Open House Sessions will be held on 14 and 15 December in an online format and on 20 January in an on-campus format. To attend, you must sign up for the IQS Open House Sessions.
New undergraduate programmes
IQS will offer 10 undergraduate programmes for the upcoming academic year. The IQS School of Engineering teaches the bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, and Pharmacy (which is taught jointly with FCS Blanquerna). The IQS School of Management features the following four bachelor's degrees: Business Administration and Management, Marketing, International Business, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The synergies between both university faculties also make it possible for interested students to study an IQS School of Engineering bachelor's degree simultaneously along with the Undergraduate Programme in Business Administration and Management, thus earning both degrees. In addition, the Undergraduate Programme in Marketing offers a dual degree with students spending an academic year at another top-tier European university while the Undergraduate Programme in International Business enables students to earn a triple international degree. As mentioned above, another possibility for the upcoming academic year is studying Tourism and Hospitality Management + Marketing and earning both degrees.
