Institutional 15 January 2025

In a strategic alliance to promote education in gastronomy and innovation, Hofmann and IQS have signed a collaboration agreement to launch the Master’s Degree in Gastronomy Innovation and Management, a unique academic programme that combines culinary excellence with a comprehensive business vision.

This master’s degree, which is scheduled to launch in April 2025, will be taught in an online format, offering a flexible educational possibility adapted to the needs of a sector in constant evolution. A second edition will also take place on site at the IQS and Hofmann facilities in September of this year.

The new master’s degree is designed to prepare leaders in the field of gastronomy, providing them with innovative tools that enable them to successfully manage projects and respond to the challenges of today’s world. The programme combines high-level technical knowledge with business skills, emphasizing the intersection between gastronomy, management, and technology.

The objective of the master’s degree is to provide comprehensive education that enables students to make strategic decisions and lead innovative projects in the field of gastronomy. From creating exceptional culinary experiences to efficiently managing resources, students will receive comprehensive training that will cover all facets of the sector.

An agreement combining academic and culinary excellence

The agreement signed between IQS and Hofmann establishes a framework for collaboration in various areas, including teaching, consulting, and research. Both institutions are seeking to develop joint strategies that enhance their strengths: technical and business management education from IQS and the culinary expertise of Hofmann. This interdisciplinary approach will be key to the success of the master’s degree.

Founded in 1983 by renowned chef Mey Hofmann, Hofmann is a benchmark in the field of culinary education in Spain. Its prestigious Hofmann Culinary School, bakeries, and Michelin-starred restaurant are synonymous with quality, innovation, and professionalism.

As to IQS, it is an academic institution with recognized prestige in the fields of science, technology, and business management that contributes its experience in educating leaders who are capable of facing the challenges of global markets. The pairing of these two entities promises to result in an internationally renowned master’s degree.

With this initiative, Hofmann and IQS are seeking to contribute to the development of the gastronomy sector, training professionals who not only master culinary techniques, but who are also prepared to lead change and innovation in a competitive business environment.
