The company's membership in the IQS Business Foundation was formalized through an institutional event held on 1 February at the IQS campus. On behalf of Hausmann, the event was attended by Mr Ferran Aiguadé, part of the Hausmann family and management team, and Mr Faust Garriga, advisor and member of the Hausmann Scientific Committee. On behalf of IQS, Dr Salvador Borrós Gómez, Director of IQS, and Ms Rosa Curt Santpera, Director of the IQS Business Foundation, attended the event.
Hausmann boasts more than 75 years of professional experience in the world of aromas and plant extracts. They are pioneers in manufacturing and marketing flavours for refreshing beverages and products made of plant extracts for phytotherapeutic uses.
Recently, Hausmann and the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Laboratory with the Materials Engineering Group (GEMAT) at IQS have collaborated on the Gravaflor project. This project has facilitated the creation of a new system for purifying process water to obtain aromas through the development of an adsorbent based on graphene oxide, which is capable of selectively capturing the olfactory contaminants present in these aqueous solutions.
