Annual Meeting of the IQS Business Foundation: Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarships, Financial Aid Undergraduate Scholarships, Master’s Degree Scholarships, and Princess of Girona Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The Undergraduate Academic Excellence, Financial Aid, Master’s Degree and Princess of Girona Foundation scholarship programme, supported by the IQS Business Foundation, has awarded 57 scholarships during academic year 2025–2026 thanks to the collaboration of 30 member companies.

This programme aims to promote equal opportunities and renew the commitment of the IQS Business Foundation, thanks to its members, to academic excellence and educating future professionals while also fostering relationships between companies and both undergraduate and master’s degree scholarship recipients.

The meeting represented a recognition event and was held on 13 November. It featured participation by Dr Salvador Borrós, Director of IQS; Dr Jordi Díaz, Dean of IQS School of Engineering; Dr José Javier Molins, Registrar; Dr Flavio Comin, Dean of IQS School of Management; and Rosa Curt, Director of the IQS Business Foundation.

Maria Vidal Tomás, ESG Senior Consultant at EY and a scholarship recipient from Carburos Metálicos, represented the scholarship awardees, and Anna Álvarez Torremorell, CSR and Alliances Specialist at the Caixa Enginyers Foundation, represented the member companies, presented the opening remarks.

These scholarships are awarded to the individuals with the best academic records among new students with limited financial resources. They acknowledge merit and academic excellence and help students cover tuition fees. A committee assesses the student’s academic record, performance, and grades and considers other skills and activities that students have undertaken.

Undergraduate Scholarships: Financial Aid Financial Aid Scholarships are awarded to students residing in Spain or Andorra with economic need, primarily based on household income and satisfactory academic performance.

The Master’s Degree Scholarships provide financial support to enable the best students from our undergraduate programmes at the IQS School of Engineering and the IQS School of Management to continue their studies at the university.

At the end of the ceremony, a networking session was held with member companies, students, and families. The IQS Business Foundation member companies were thanked for believing in the corporate scholarships project and for continuing to support our students and their talents and futures.

Throughout the event, various speakers highlighted the importance of being an IQS student and the opportunities that it opens up in both academic and professional settings.
