The company CATALONIA HOTELS & RESORTS, one of Spain's leading hotel chains, has recently joined the IQS Business Foundation.
The company's membership in the IQS Business Foundation was formalized through an institutional event held on 22 April at the IQS campus.On behalf of CATALONIA HOTELS & RESORTS, the event was attended by Mr Guillermo Vallet Millet, Executive Vice President of the chain and IQS alumnus from the class of 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, and Mr Jordi Batista Muñoz, Director of Human Resources. On behalf of IQS, Dr Salvador Borrós Gómez, Director of IQS, and Ms Rosa Curt Santpera, Director of the IQS Business Foundation, were present.
With the addition of the Undergraduate Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management, IQS has strengthened its academic offering and is opening the doors to a sector that is of vital importance both domestically and internationally.
Catalonia Hotels & Resorts is a family-run hotel chain founded by the Vallet brothers. They opened their first establishment in the early 1980s, quickly consolidating into a solid, benchmark hotel chain within just a few years in Spain and abroad.
The company currently has 73 establishments located in more than 20 different destinations: 56 hotels in Spain, one in Brussels, one in Berlin, one in Amsterdam, one in Porto, 12 resorts in the Caribbean (six in the Dominican Republic and six in Mexico), and an urban hotel in the city of Santo Domingo.
