Bone regeneration remains a major clinical challenge, particularly in complex fractures where traditional grafts often fail due to poor integration and inadequate mechanical support. At GEMAT, we developed BIO-GRAFT technology a bone scaffold that replicates the mechanical behavior of bone and mimics natural biomechanical stimulation, enhancing osteointegration through mechanotransduction pathways such as Wnt/β-catenin and RhoA/ROCK. Plasma polymerization allows precise tuning of scaffold adaptability and adhesion, maintaining its dynamic response. With 177 million fractures occurring annually and up to 10% progressing to nonunion, BIO-GRAFT offers an innovative solution for complex clinical cases, especially in pediatric fractures, with substantial economic potential in a growing market.
