At IQS, students work in laboratories and workshops equipped with the latest technologies. We have specific laboratories for the Master’s Degree in Cosmetics and Fragrances, where you can put into practice everything you learn during your studies.
The fundamental objective of the Master’s Degree in Cosmetics and Fragrances is to prepare professionals for the cosmetics sector and the fragrances industry by providing them with the skills and competences necessary to work in any department within these fields.
By completing this master’s degree, students will become future professionals who end up with sufficient knowledge, skills, and competences to be able to: 1) design new cosmetic and fragrance products taking into account the approved ingredients, 2) develop manufacturing methods based on good working practices, 3) contribute to obtaining certificates for cosmetic and fragrance products, 4) develop cosmetovigilance tasks as well as monitor the safety of cosmetics and products in the fragrances industry, 5) lead projects for companies in the sector and adapt to the changes and challenges that arise in the field of cosmetics and fragrances.
With their Master Thesis, students will be able to contribute to the lines of the different research groups at IQS or conduct their thesis in connection with research projects led by companies in the sector.
Once you have completed your registration, the system will assign you a user number then you must create a password. You can check the status of your application at any time with this login information.
If you are an IQS student, you must pre-register directly from your SIGMA profile. Enter your username and password and go to official studies/pre-registration.
The master’s degree coordinator will contact you for an interview. Subsequently, IQS will notify you by email on the decision regarding your admission.
Once admitted, you have a period of two weeks to make your pre-enrolment payment. You must pay a pre-enrolment tuition fee of €1,000. The pre-enrolment payment is non-refundable and does not entail an additional cost as it will be deducted from the total tuition fees once your enrolment is finalized.

If you are a non-EU student, you will receive your visa letter once IQS has received your pre-enrolment payment.
Once the enrolment period has opened, and if you have completed the previous stages, you will receive an email from the IQS Registrar’s Office with the credentials and instructions you need to proceed with your enrolment.
Using your credentials, start your session on the SIGMA academic management application and formalize your enrolment by indicating the payment method.
This master’s degree is aimed at students who have completed an undergraduate degree or higher qualification in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or other related subjects.
The Admissions Committee will study each application and, if necessary, the content of any complementary courses that must be taken, depending on the access qualification.
IQS offers scholarships and financial aid to students who wish to study a master’s degree at IQS and who have completed their undergraduate studies at another university. We also provide scholarships for academic excellence, financial need, and international students.
Academic Excellence
For students who are beginning their master’s studies, this scholarship covers up to 40% of tuition for the best undergraduate academic transcripts depending on the applicant’s financial situation.
Financial need
For students with financial need. These scholarships are based primarily on your family’s income level and satisfactory academic performance. Scholarships for up to 40% of tuition fees are awarded.
International Students
For students who can prove they reside outside of Spain, have financial need, a solid academic record, and have been admitted to an IQS master’s degree.
The Master’s Degree in Cosmetics and Fragrances provides students with the necessary training so they can directly join any industry in the sector. The career growth of graduate students is far faster and gives higher employability thanks to the laboratory work students conduct in the programme, not to mention the compulsory internships they carry out with industries within the sector that have a close relationship with IQS.
