Both IQS professors and more than 30 professionals from inside the industry will teach lessons and share real case studies related to global companies in this sector.
The objective of this master’s degree is to prepare new professionals who are ready to take on a wide variety of positions within the biopharmaceutical sector in an international work setting who are equipped with a cross-disciplinary technical and business vision of the different areas that make up this relevant industry.

Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or individuals who wish to advance their career in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
Mandatory in-company internships within the sector.

At IQS, students work in laboratories and workshops equipped with the latest technologies. We have specific laboratories for the Master’s Degree in Biopharmaceutical Business, where you can put into practice everything you learn during your studies.
The main objective of the master’s degree is to prepare you with all the resources you need to take on a competitive and international professional environment in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical technology industries. This means that you will be able to easily adapt to the different work processes in a constantly changing professional environment.
This primary objective is based on acquiring the knowledge and skills in the classroom necessary to make it a reality, as well as in-company internships within the biopharmaceutical sector.

Career opportunities of the Master’s Degree in Biopharmaceutical Business
The Master’s Degree in Biopharmaceutical Business features compulsory in-company internships (20 ECTS) within the biopharmaceutical sector for all students. IQS has agreements in place with various pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology, and related services companies, all of which boast recognized prestige in the sector and offer students different positions in various departments depending on their needs. The in-company internships last for a minimum duration of six months.
Moreover, IQS hosts our own Job Exchange and a Career Services office that manages these in-company internships as well as provides career advice.
Once you have completed your registration, the system will assign you a user number then you must create a password. You can check the status of your application at any time with this login information.
If you are an IQS student, you must pre-register directly from your SIGMA profile. Enter your user name and password and go to official studies/pre-registration.
The master’s degree coordinator will contact you for an interview. Subsequently, IQS will notify you by email on the decision regarding your admission.
Once admitted, you have a period of two weeks to make your pre-enrolment payment. You must pay a pre-enrolment tuition fee of €1,000. The pre-enrolment payment is non-refundable and does not entail an additional cost as it will be deducted from the total tuition fees once your enrolment is finalized.

If you are a non-EU student, you will receive your visa letter once IQS has received your pre-enrolment payment.
Once the enrolment period has opened, and if you have completed the previous stages, you will receive an email from the IQS Registrar’s Office with the credentials and instructions you need to proceed with your enrolment.
Using your credentials, start your session on the SIGMA academic management application and formalize your enrolment by indicating the payment method.
IQS offers scholarships and financial aid to students who wish to study a master’s degree at IQS and who have completed their undergraduate studies at another university. We also provide scholarships for academic excellence, financial need, and international students.
Academic Excellence
For students who are beginning their master’s studies, this scholarship covers up to 40% of tuition for the best undergraduate academic transcripts depending on the applicant’s financial situation.
Financial need
For students with financial need. These scholarships are based primarily on your family’s income level and satisfactory academic performance. Scholarships for up to 40% of tuition fees are awarded.
International Students
For students who can prove they reside outside of Spain, have financial need, a solid academic record, and have been admitted to an IQS master’s degree.
