IQS Welcomes the Visit from the Government of Catalonia's Secretary of Business and Competitiveness

IQS welcomed Albert Castellanos, the Government of Catalonia’s Secretary of Business and Competitiveness within the Department of Business and Labour, and Maria Dolors Núñez, head of the ACCIÓ Technological Opportunities Analysis and Detection team, to show them the university and its research lines, knowledge transfer to companies, and activities to promote entrepreneurship.

Albert Castellanos, the Government of Catalonia's Secretary of Business and Competitiveness within the Department of Business and Labour, and Maria Dolors Núñez, head of the ACCIÓ Technological Opportunities Analysis and Detection team, visited IQS to learn about the university and its research lines, knowledge transfer to companies, and activities to promote entrepreneurship.

Welcomed by IQS administration and the heads of various IQS departments, the government representatives took a tour of the classrooms and teaching and research laboratories. They were also able to see the units that form part of the Process Transfer and Integrative Technologies Centre (CTPTI). The meeting ended with a visit to the areas that IQS is planning to renovate in upcoming years to expand its facilities.

Both Albert Castellanos and Maria Dolors Núñez were able to get a first-hand view of the dynamic knowledge transfer, applied research, and consulting for companies and institutions by IQS Tech Transfer, see how IQS Tech Factory supports business creation, and learn about IQS executive education programmes. During the visit, IQS took the opportunity to present its academic foundations, student-centred focus, academic excellence based on learning through doing, dedication to business needs, and promotion of an entrepreneurial culture.
