Unidad integrada por diversos laboratorios para la realización de actividades de investigación avanzada y transferencia de tecnología relacionada principalmente con los materiales poliméricos, los biomateriales, los materiales cerámicos y el grafeno. Incluye zonas especiales para microscopios y análisis de imagen, equipamiento para caracterización de materiales y laboratorios de ingeniería vascular y biomateriales.

- Development of functional polymers and formulations: adhesives, silicones, polymeric thickeners, flame retardant additives, charge modification, conductive and semi-conductive polymers and inks
- Development of biodegradable polymers
- Qualitative chemical composition studies of polymeric materials
- Characterisation of materials: DMA, rheology, specific surface area, particle size, DSC, TGA, XRD and microscopy
Nanotechnology + Biomedicine:
- Development of polymeric nanoparticles for mRNA encapsulation
- Studies on the coating of ceramic particles
- Graphene applications
