Sara Antón Francesch and Mònica Escobar Marín are the two students from the IQS Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering who have been chosen to work in Akzo Nobel through the Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) programme organized by the company every year. It is worth highlighting that only four spots were available for students from Spain this year.

The Akzo Nobel Graduate Programme consists of a two-year contract for engineers. During the first year, trainees work in different departments of the company’s plants in Catalonia, and the second year they work elsewhere in Europe. “It’s a great opportunity that very few people can achieve. This means that the trainees can do an internal career within the company once the programme ends thanks to the experience and knowledge that the company provides,” claims the IQS Career Services staff.

The visits and connections between leading companies and IQS students forms part of the programme of activities and actions that IQS Career Services organizes throughout the year, with the goal of offering the university's students the best job opportunities.

Last year, the programme selected IQS student Oriol Gil Miró, who is currently in Paris in his second year of the GET.
