Ramon Llull University (URL) has reinforced its international prestige by appearing once again in the Global Employability University Ranking (GEURS), an influential global ranking that measures the ability of universities to prepare their graduates for the labour market. This list is compiled by the French consultancy Emerging and published by Times Higher Education, highlighting the institutions with the best rating among employers around the world.
The URL Continues its Leadership in Employability in Catalonia, Occupying a Top Position
In this year’s edition, the URL is ranked 147th worldwide out of a total of 250 universities evaluated, climbing 20 positions compared to the previous ranking. Of the eight Spanish universities that appear on the list, the URL stands out as the seventh best in the country and occupies a key position at the Catalan level: it is the second-best university in Catalonia, surpassed only by the UAB and ahead of the UB.
European recognition and ranking methodology
Within the context of Europe, the URL occupies 69th place, consolidating itself as a leader in educating professionals who are prepared to take on the challenges of the labour market. At the national level, it shares the ranking with other prestigious universities such as IE University, Universidad de Navarra, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
The GEURS, which is celebrating its 14th edition this year, differentiates itself by relying exclusively on the perspective of international employers. For this edition, 13,240 professionals from 42 countries were surveyed, including chief human resources officers and senior managers responsible for hiring at companies around the world, from the United States to Japan. Its objective is to identify which universities train the most prepared graduates with the greatest professional projection.
