Last Thursday, November the 5th, IQS’ Chair of Ethics and Christian Thought delivered a toothbrush donation to Fundació Salut Alta and Fundació La Vinya. This action is a follow-up of the campaign carried out in 2019.
Last Thursday, November the 5th, IQS’ Chair of Ethics and Christian Thought delivered a toothbrush donation to Fundació Salut Alta and Fundació La Vinya. This action is a follow-up of the campaign carried out in 2019.
Fundació La Salut Alta, located in Badalona, is a private non-profit foundation, created in 2004 by the local Christian community and by the Society of Jesus, in order to help the integral development of the neighborhood’s population through education. They focus their attention on two groups: minors and the most vulnerable people.
La Vinya Foundation, created in 2008 by the parish communities of Bellvitge and Gornal, has as main objective to help children, youngsters and adults on their way to a free and dignified life. Through education, solidarity actions and by raising social awareness, it seeks to transform the social reality of the neighborhood.
In this occasion, IQS’ Chair or Ethics also visited the headquarters of Fundació Migra Studium, to donate school supplies. This organization, located in the Gothic Quarter, is a social center promoted by the Society of Jesus engaged in welcoming, advising and training newly arrived immigrants and raising social awareness around the phenomenon of migration.
Thus, IQS contributes to lessen social inequalities in our city, follows its identity and mission bottom-lines, and complements the contribution that some volunteer students from our center are already making in these same organizations.
