On 2 June, Fundació Empreses IQS held its Annual Meeting online. Various companies that collaborate with the Foundation attended the meeting, which also featured the participation of Alicia Richart, IQS Alumni and General Manager of AFINITI for Spain and Portugal, an American artificial intelligence company that specializes in customer experience.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Salvador Borrós, Director of IQS, and included a presentation by Ms Richart entitled “The implications of the technological revolution.” This topic is of vast importance today, especially considering the global pandemic and the resulting digitization process that companies have had to carry out over a rather short timeframe.
Ms Richart highlighted some current business trends in terms of the new digital landscape following the COVID-19 pandemic. Within this context, she stressed that the current economic and social model that was put in place after the Second World War has become obsolete in the global reality in which we now live. This involves new challenges that industrial society did not face before, such as the difficulty of predicting the origin of competitors, customer expectations and demands for immediate results, as well as the radical changes in customer brand loyalty. To conclude, she pointed out that traditional organizational structures are detrimental to companies.
Dr Borrós added: "Due to her strong commitment and ability to create and lead teams, Alicia is a great example for IQS professionals and current students and how they should learn."
