What do you like most about your job?

The flexibility and freedom to pursue our own ideas. I also love to see projects advance and grow, and I really appreciate being able to work with such a wide variety of people, from recent graduates to lecturers, tenured professors, and senior researchers, many from widely different countries. It’s really rewarding.

What would you like to spend more time doing?

I’d like to spend more time with friends, in nature, photography, reading, and watching films. Ah, and doing more sports!

What do you feel proudest of?

Of having been able to get as far as I have, on a professional level. And my family, on a personal level.

What value do you appreciate most in people?

Empathy.

Where’s a place you’d like to visit?

Any island in Southeast Asia.

What’s a dream you’d like to pursue?

For my research to contribute in some way to improving crop yield issues due to increased drought.

What do you have left to learn?

Everything. I look forward to learning much more than I already have thus far!
