New Knowledge Generation Projects

7 October 2022

The six IQS projects that have been awarded grants for the next three years, within the framework of the 2021 “Knowledge Generation Projects” call for grants, have a total budget of nearly €830,000. In addition, two of them were also awarded FPI predoctoral grants.

We have kicked off this academic year full of pride and satisfaction with the results IQS and the entire Ramón Llull University community have produced in terms of grants awarded to new research projects under the 2021 call for Knowledge Projects.

This grant, from the Ministry of Science and Innovation and managed through the State Research Agency, forms part of the State Program to Promote Scientific and Technical Research and Transfer Knowledge, and falls under the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI) 2021-2023.

The purpose of this type of grant is to promote scientific and technical research through efficiently allocating public resources, promoting excellence, fostering collaboration between agents within the system, and supporting the generation of knowledge with a high scientific, technical, economic, and social impact.

The grant award decision, published at the end of July, was very motivating for the entire research team at IQS and the other schools that form part of Ramón Llull University. It was highly impressive not only for the number of projects that earned grants, but also for the high rate of grants awarded with respect to the number of applications submitted.

The six IQS projects that have been awarded grants for the next three years have a total budget of nearly €830,000. In addition, two of them were also awarded FPI grants for conducting doctoral studies.
