The objectives of the EcoHarmony project are:
+ to develop a comprehensive curriculum,
+ to launch a digital collaboration platform,
+ to implement a micro-credential framework, and assessing the impact of sustainable tourism education,
+ to create a more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive tourism industry,
+ to organize a SustainEurope 2027 Summit on the World Environment Day simultaneously in 5 different countries.
The «EcoHarmony» project’s key results and outcomes are, among others:
+Development of an interdisciplinary sustainable tourism curriculum integrated with the Global Sustainable Tourism Framework (GTSF).
+Launch of a digital collaboration platform for sustainable tourism education, facilitating global collaboration and knowledge exchange.
+Creation of microlearning modules focused on collaborative online international learning (COIL) and virtual exchanges.
The URL, with its rich tradition of academic excellence and innovation, is ideally positioned to address the complex challenges of sustainable tourism, using its interdisciplinary strengths and state-of-the-art research facilities. The project aligns with the EU’s commitment to sustainable development, addressing critical issues like climate change, responsible resource management, and ethical governance in tourism, as reflected in EU initiatives and frameworks.
