IQS has once again taken part in the Saló de l’Ensenyament, cementing its place as one of the key reference points for prospective university students seeking programmes of high academic rigour with a clear professional focus. This year, the institution used the event to showcase the latest strategic developments that reinforce its commitment to innovation, multidisciplinarity, and the development of young talent.
IQS Presents Its Latest Developments and a Strengthened Academic Offering at the Saló de l’Ensenyament 2026
One of the main highlights is the launch of thenew degree in Applied Mathematics, jointly created by IQS and La Salle Campus Barcelona. The new programme, which will launch in September 2026, responds to the growing demand for hybrid profiles in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, Industry 4.0 and biotechnology, combining modelling, programming and data analysis in a practical, highly career-oriented curriculum.
This programme combines the scientific rigour of IQS with the technological strength of La Salle, includes compulsory internships and a strongly international character, with the third and fourth years taught in English.
IQS also highlighted the Barcelona Talent Accelerator, a transformative, fully funded programme led by IQS and Esade. Aimed at Year 10 students with high academic potential and limited financial resources, it offers a three-year pathway including bootcamps, summer schools, personalised mentoring and English language support, with the goal of accompanying them from secondary school through to university entry. The first edition will begin on 9 May of this year, reinforcing both institutions’ social commitment to equal opportunities and young talent.
Another highlight was the new Medicine degree at Blanquerna–URL, which brings together the collaboration of IQS, La Salle, Esade and other institutions within the Universitat Ramon Llull.
The programme champions a model that integrates advanced medical technology, a humanistic approach and training geared towards comprehensive healthcare. It also has an extensive network of reference hospitals for clinical training.
Furthermore, as part of its initiatives to inspire scientific vocations among young women, IQS also drew attention to the 2nd edition of the Dream it, STEM it competition, which invites students in their final two years of secondary school, vocational training cycles and Year 10 to create videos showing how science and technology can address the challenges of the future. The competition, which forms part of the STEM4her initiative, offers scholarships to study STEM degrees at IQS and includes among its prizes enrolment in the IQS Summer Camp.
IQS also shone a spotlight on its Summer Camp IQS, aimed at students in their final two years of secondary school, offering a hands-on experience in the university’s Analytical Chemistry laboratories. During this stay, which will take place from 7 to 10 July, participants will be able to work with real analytical techniques applied to food, water and cosmetic products, using advanced equipment and working just as they would in a professional scientific environment.
A comprehensive education connecting science, technology and management
IQS showcased its full academic offering, structured around two major schools — the School of Engineering and the School of Management — and strengthened by joint programmes between the two. The offering includes degrees and double degrees in areas such as engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, health, business and marketing, as well as a comprehensive range of master’s and double master’s programmes. This full portfolio is easily accessible through the programme search tool on the IQS website, which makes it easy for students to identify the academic path best suited to their profile and interests.
Throughout the five days of the Saló, the IQS team — made up of teaching staff, current students and members of the Communications and Admissions teams — provided warm, personalised attention to all visitors. Attendees were able to learn about career pathways, degree structures, internships, double qualifications, international mobility and the full admissions process.
