IQS connects UNIJES entrepreneurial talent at 4YFN for the first time

Events Institutional 16 March 2026

IQS, through its division Tech Factory, has led a pioneering joint initiative within UNIJES with the participation of the entrepreneurship units of the University of Deusto, Universidad Loyola, and Universidad Pontificia Comillas, bringing together ten selected entrepreneurial projects at 4YFN—the Mobile World Congress space dedicated to start-ups—to promote exchange, visibility, and inter-university collaboration.

The goal: foster exchange, visibility, and inter-university collaboration among the entrepreneurial teams in the UNIJES ecosystem.

The event, held on March 2 in Barcelona, gave the participating teams first-hand access to one of the leading international showcases for innovation, the opportunity to connect with other university entrepreneurs, and a direct look at the most cutting-edge projects in the MWC ecosystem.

Workshops, guided tours, and presentations at the IQS booth

The activity kicked off with an introductory pre-event session aimed at contextualising the strategic opportunities offered by the Mobile World Congress and 4YFN.

Upon arriving at the fair, the teams had some initial time to get their bearings, freely explore the first booths, and attend a few talks. Before lunch, a first pitch round was held at the IQS booth, where attendees could learn about the projects supported by the institution that were present at this edition: Atom H2, Poseidona, Hydroskin y Aurax, positioned in areas such as sustainability, medical technology, and clean energy.

Following this first session, the visiting teams had time to tour the fair, attend specialised conferences, and analyse sector trends—having been previously guided by the IQS team to identify relevant content according to each start-up’s profile.

In the afternoon, the invited start-ups, Bitakora, Mirlo, 1Plan, reversa.ai, Qublian, Ming Da Consulting, participated in a second pitch session that facilitated the exchange of experiences, the validation of ideas, and the exploration of future collaborations between universities.

The day concluded with a networking dinner, where informal conversations, shared learnings, and spontaneous mentoring dynamics arose among participants.

IQS start-ups awarded at this edition of 4YFN

The 2026 edition stood out for the quality of its projects and confirmed the strong momentum of IQS technological entrepreneurship. Two of its start-ups received notable recognition:

AURAX, driven by Narcís Codina, Armando Folgado, and IQS alumnus Víctor Julià, received a Special Mention at the Spanish Red Cross Humanitarian Technology Awards for MouthX, a technology designed to improve the autonomy of people with disabilities.

ATOM H2, founded by IQS alumnus Lucas Vicén together with three Elisava alumni—Marcel Rovira, Anna Martín, and Mariona Figueras—won the EmprendeXXI Award in Catalonia, promoted by CaixaBank DayOne and Enisa. The award includes €6,000 and an international support programme with strategic connections in Berlin.

A shared strategy to strengthen the UNIJES community

The initiative at 4YFN is part of the shared strategy of the four UNIJES universities: University of Deusto, Universidad Loyola, Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and IQS, to strengthen cooperation between their entrepreneurship units, share resources, and generate real growth opportunities for students, alumni, as well as faculty and researchers who are part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This joint effort builds on the recent UNIJES Entrepreneurship Homologues Group Meeting, held at the University of Deusto, where representatives of Spain’s Jesuit institutions advanced the definition of joint actions, the exchange of best practices, and the design of shared initiatives aimed at reinforcing innovation and university entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, the activity at 4YFN extends the reach of the first joint action of the 2025–2026 plan: a specialised training in artificial intelligence applied to entrepreneurship, delivered in February by the University of Deusto, which brought together more than 200 participants and confirmed the growing interest in emerging technologies within the UNIJES community.
