IQS and ESADE launch a 100% scholarship-funded programto boost the talent of 4th-year ESO students

IQS and ESADE have launched ‘Barcelona Talent Accelerator’, a fully scholarship-funded program aimed at 4th-year ESO students from the Barcelona metropolitan area with high academic performance and limited economic resources. The first edition will begin on May 9, 2026, with an inaugural bootcamp that will mark the start of a three-year support and training itinerary.

“We want to reinforce our impact and commitment to the city of Barcelona, actively contributing to its educational and social progress. This program boosts talent starting from secondary education and offers students learning and growth opportunities that, until now, were out of their reach,” highlighted Daniel Traça, Director General of Esade.

For his part, the Director General of IQS, Salvador Borrós, stated that “this program showcases the strength of collaboration between institutions committed to their environment. We are combining capabilities, methodologies, and spaces to offer these young people an experience that can mark a turning point in their academic and personal trajectories, preparing them to build a solid university path with impact.”

A three-year itinerary with continuous support

‘Barcelona Talent Accelerator’ focuses on acting from secondary education, removing economic barriers and offering participants a transformative learning environment centered on self-awareness, critical thinking, and purposeful leadership.

The program will combine three in-person bootcamps, two summer schools, and a mentoring and follow-up system throughout the academic year. The initial bootcamp, scheduled for May 9, will serve as a welcome day and a first contact with the university environment. The summer schools, to be held in the summers of 2026 and 2027, will consist of two intensive weeks at the IQS (Barcelona) and Esade (Sant Cugat) campuses.

Throughout the itinerary, participants will develop key competencies such as communication, teamwork, creativity, and leadership, and will participate in real-world challenges linked to fields such as innovation, sustainability, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and social entrepreneurship. The program also includes English reinforcement and academic and university guidance, with the aim of supporting students in making decisions with greater perspective and confidence.

An alliance to strengthen the local educational ecosystem

‘Barcelona Talent Accelerator’ is a joint initiative of IQS and Esade, integrating experiences, methodologies, and campuses to offer participants a broad, connected, and transformative vision of university learning. This alliance reinforces an educational model that combines academic excellence, personal support, and social impact, and consolidates the commitment of both institutions to the educational and social development of Barcelona.

The registration period will be open until March 27 and, to mark the launch, an online information session will be held on March 3, aimed at educational centers, families, and interested students.
